Hey, I said it was a crass commercial announcement, right?
The simple facts are these. We wrote a book. We think it’s good. Many of you think it’s good. That and $2 will buy us a cup of coffee. For this to succeed we need people to read it. Lots and lots of people. We know lots and lots of people online and we’ve encouraged you all to read the book. We’ve even given the book away just to get people to read it. But there is only so much we can do in the way of promoting this before people start rolling their eyes back in their heads every time they see us posting.
So we need you, our readers to spread the word. Preferably a good word, but hey, beggers can’t be choosers. It’s a ‘grass-roots’ effort, and you guys are the sod. OK, that sounded wrong, but you know what I mean!
So, we may be famous as can be (OK, not really) but we’re also just authors, standing in front of our readers asking them to lo… uh give us a hand here.
So tell your friends. Tell your family. Confront random strangers on the street. Stalk people. OK, maybe not that. If you have a favorite blog etc. ask them to review it.
